How the total is calculated

  1. Quantity × unit price is rounded per line.
  2. Height, difficulty, and waste factors are multiplied and applied to each rounded line.
  3. Install and takedown labor are added.
  4. Markup is calculated on the service subtotal.
  5. Tax is calculated on subtotal plus markup.
  6. The deposit is calculated from the final total.
Use local rules. Some jurisdictions tax materials and services differently. Confirm the taxable base and rate with a qualified local adviser.

What this calculator does not do

It does not read photos, measure a roof, recommend prevailing prices, create invoices, accept payments, or schedule crews. Its result is only as reliable as the measurements and rates you enter.
